General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) has presented its vision for a next-generation Stryker vehicle through the StrykerX technology demonstrator at the Association of the US Army (AUSA) 2022 conference. The StrykerX incorporates advanced features such as silent movement, silent watch, exportable electric power, and reduced fuel consumption with a hybrid diesel-electric power pack. It includes a side-by-side crew compartment and offers more space for the infantry squad.

The occupants are protected by an integrated Active Protection System and advanced electronic architecture with cyber defense. StrykerX is equipped with an array of sensors providing 360-degree situational awareness and a see-through armor capability.

The Stryker family of eight-wheeled armored fighting vehicles, derived from the Canadian LAV III, is produced by General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada for the U.S. Army. It was designed to form the backbone of a medium-weight brigade combat team, striking a balance between heavy armor and infantry. The StrykerX technology demonstrator aims to enhance the vehicle’s capabilities, emphasizing innovations such as hybrid electric power and advanced protection systems. General Dynamics Land Systems continues to innovate, building upon its foundation of military vehicles like the Abrams Main Battle Tank and the Stryker family, to provide solutions for evolving military challenges.
